It is relatively easy to send a mass email to an old email list. However, before you hit that send button, be aware of the risks. They almost always outweigh the rewards.

Bronto will be in Park City, Utah attending the Email Insider Summit (Dec 7-10). This semi-annual event, hosted by MediaPost, is - according to the site - "a totally unique event where the biggest brands and brightest minds caucus for three-days on state of email marketing."

AAA predicts that nearly 4.54 million (11 percent) plan to travel by airplane this Thanksgiving weekend. United does an incredible job leveraging the power of email to prepare travelers (subscribers) for upcoming flights. Great design, simple, to the point, effective.

From Names and Subject Lines are two of the most critical components of an email. Always use a from name that is recognizable, typically your company name, brand name, or personal name - whatever is most relevant and recognizable to your subscribers

Gmail's new phishing alerts identifies (and filters) messages they deem as spam. Google is trying to prevent and educate their users on phishing emails.
