Our Community Commitment
At Bronto, we believe that we have a responsibility to support our local community through our service and solutions. We see this as an integral ingredient to being a stronger company filled with purposeful people. To that end, we’re committed to involving our employees in programs that will enrich and improve the lives of people living and working within our community. In addition, we offer our email marketing solution to non-profit organizations to assist them in creating stronger relationships through email marketing.
During the 2008 year, Bronto is committing its time and energy to support the Ronald McDonald House of Durham, the Habitat for Humanity of Durham, and the Urban Ministries of Durham. Through volunteer hours scheduled throughout the year, during office and non-office hours, we will volunteer over 450 hours. At this time, we have nine local non-profit organizations benefiting from the use of our product.
Many may talk about community involvement, but Bronto is adamant that it is an essential piece of being a successful company.
Since 1980, the Ronald McDonald House of Durham has provided loving shelter to more than 20,000 families whose children were being treated in local hospitals, weaving their stories into the fabric that makes this House a home.
On October 24, 1985, Durham County Habitat for Humanity came into being, and on the Saturday before Christmas of 1987, the first Durham Habitat homeowners moved into their new home. Although it took over ten more years to begin work on the 50th home, it took only three years beyond that to begin the 100th. Habitat has broken ground on 190 homes in Durham since 1985.
