Personal Information Collection and Use
We collect personal information at our website such as first name, last name, job title, company industry, company name, web site, phone number, email address and state. We receive such information when you register for an account, sign up to receive our newsletter, send us an email, or complete an online survey, and we collect such information in order to provide you with the information, products and services you requested. We may send you information about additional services that we offer, but we will not rent or sell your contact information to any third parties without your permission. We also use the information we collect to notify consumers about updates to our website and services, service disruptions, and for other informational purposes. Our web servers automatically recognizes and collects a consumer's or visitor’s domain name or IP address, as well as aggregate information on what pages are accessed or visited. The information collected is used then to create an aggregate demographic profile of our user base so that we can improve the content and services of our website and provide aggregate information to potential advertisers, to customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual visitor, and to better understand our customers’ preferences.
Information Collection by Cookies
We use technologies such as: cookies, beacons, tag and scripts and our partners [See below]. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis.
- Google Analytics – collecting customer information via cookies and providing it to Google for purposes of contextual ad retargeting
- Adroll – third party service that functions similarly to Google Analytics and uses session cookie information for contextual ad retargeting
- Marketo – collects personal and usage information that is stored within Marketo. To my knowledge, this information is not used outside of Bronto.
- Social Widgets – allow sharing of site content to social networks.
- Live Person – live chat client that logs end user data.
As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data. (We do not link this automatically collected data to other information we collect about you, or we may combine this automatically collected log information with other information we collect about you. We do this to improve services we offer you, to improve marketing, analytics, or site functionality.
The IP addresses collected in the log files are used to handle geolocation for our UK and AU sites.
Section II: Privacy Practices Relevant to Our Clients’ Information
Bronto provides a wide variety of services and solutions to its business clients (each, a "Client") that facilitate services for their employees ("End Users"). Bronto will obtain access to personal information about End Users in the course of operating websites, providing contractually obligated services, and providing customer care and other related services. Such information about the End Users may include, but is not limited to, name, billing address, business address, email address, telephone number, social networking id, website or other application or service at issue. In no instance will Bronto share, sell, rent or trade personal information with third parties for promotional purposes, unless Bronto is directed to do so by a Client.
Bronto Clients use the Service to host information (“Customer Information”). Bronto will not review, share, distribute, or reference any such Customer Information except as provided in the Agreements with our Customers or as may be required by law. These Agreements generally provide that individual records of Customer Information may be viewed or accessed only for the purpose of resolving a problem, support issues, or to investigate suspected violation of the Bronto Agreement or legal requirements, or as may be otherwise required by law.
Use of Client Email List Information
Bronto is not an email list rental service and does not rent or sell any email addresses or other contact information that its Clients provide or collect regarding their End Users. At all times, Clients retain ownership and control of their lists and list information.
Bronto has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data it processes. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data should direct his query to the Bronto Client (the data controller). If requested to remove data, we will respond within 30 days.
We will retain personal data we process on behalf of our Clients for as long as needed to provide services to our Client. Bronto will retain this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Section III: General Disclosures
All of our direct response methods are opt-in communications, and you may opt out of them at any time. If you subscribed to our e-mail newsletter(s) but do not want to receive it in the future, please follow the "unsubscribe" instructions contained in the newsletter(s). We will respond to all unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
Free trial users will receive a series of automated emails alerting them to the status of the trial. Bronto representatives may contact free trial users to inquire about their experience.
If you wish to have any of your information that is posted in our public forums, directory or testimonial areas of our site, you may contact us at email@example.com. Should we not be able to remove your personal information, we will contact you.
As stated herein, Bronto collects certain End User information during the business relationship with its Clients and has no direct relationship with any End Users whose personal data it processes. If you are an End User of one of our Clients and would no longer like to be contacted by one of our Clients that use our service, please contact the Client that you interact with directly.
If you have an account with us, we will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We also will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and protect our rights.
Access to Personal Information
You may request that we correct, update, delete or otherwise amend personal information that we maintain about you. You also may request access to such information. To submit such requests, please email us at email@example.com. We will respond to your request to access within 30 days. Alternatively, if you have access to your contact information page, you may be able to review and amend any of your personal information.
Information We Share
We may, under certain circumstances, share information we collect with outside parties. For example, we may share information about you with third parties who provide services for us such as a hosting service provider or a payment processor. In those cases, the service provider is only authorized to use information to perform services on our behalf or for limited administrative purposes, such as complying with legal requirements. We also may share your information:
- With business partners, such as designers;
- We may transfer personal information to companies that help us provide our service. Transfers to subsequent third parties are covered by the service agreements with our Clients;
- When reasonably requested or required by law enforcement authorities or other government officials;
- When otherwise required by law or in response to legal process;
- When we believe disclosure is appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss;
- When reasonably necessary to an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity;
- As needed to protect the vital interests of an individual; and
- In the event we sell or transfer all of or any portion of our business or assets, in which case , you will be notified via your account, an email and/or a notice on our website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any necessary information regarding the retention, transfer or return of your personal information
If you are a resident of California, you may ask us to refrain from sharing your information with third parties and among our affiliates for marketing purposes. You may do so by contacting us as shown in the “How to Contact Us” section.
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect against loss, misuse or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of the personal information we maintain. Sensitive information such as user name and password used during log in is transmitted over the Internet by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. For other data transmission such as online web forms, SSL is always available for use. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Bronto uses technical controls, such as systems logging, to help ensure data integrity. Bronto also takes reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we collect is accurate, complete, and current. Bronto also allows individuals and clients to update information for accuracy and completeness.

Our Site includes links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of Bronto. Any personal information you submit to any websites outside of Bronto is governed by that website owner’s privacy statement.
