Bronto Software Adds Responsive Email Templates to its Marketing Platform for Commerce

Durham, NC – June 25, 2013 - Bronto Software (bronto.com), the leading marketing platform for commerce, today announced the availability of responsive email templates, enabling marketers to create emails that are visually appealing, regardless of the device on which they are viewed. This is one of several mobile/SMS marketing features available as part of the Bronto Marketing Platform, which combines email and cross-channel marketing to help commerce marketers drive more revenue. According to Bronto’s statistics, 39 percent of emails are opened on a mobile device, and that number is steadily rising. “We want to help commerce marketers connect with the mobile consumer,” said Joe Colopy, CEO of Bronto. “But it’s also about ease of use. Time-strapped marketers can create one version of an email and know that it will render correctly on a mobile device. It’s less work for them.” Bronto’s email templates include built-in responsive code that dynamically adapts the layout and style of the message to a smaller screen. Columns and navigation elements are stacked, images and buttons are resized and the copy is reformatted. This makes marketing emails easier to read, which in turn drives more engagement. Previously, marketers had to create a separate version of the email for mobile viewing. Bronto provides more than 130 responsive templates, offered in six different layouts and a wide range of themes. The templates are designed to be easy to customize. For example, the sections of the template that are not used by the marketer automatically disappear when the email is created. Commerce-ready templates for order confirmation and shopping cart abandonment messages have also been enhanced with responsive design. These templates are pre-built with API tags to make it easier for marketers to insert order and product information into emails. They also include built-in sections for adding cross- and up-sell offers.
