As part of our continuous development cycle, we will be releasing new features today. Each feature is described below.

Auto Deliver Reports When A Delivery Completes

When scheduling a delivery, you can choose to have a report emailed to you when a delivery completes, or at a later time of your choosing.

To auto-deliver a report when a delivery completes:

  1. Choose to send a message.
  2. Click Show Advanced Options.
  3. Click the Email me a report when the delivery completes sending checkbox.
  4. Choose when you want the report to be emailed. You can choose:
    • Immediately after delivery completes
    • 30 minutes after delivery completes
    • 1 hour after delivery completes
    • 2 hours after delivery completes
    • 3 hours after delivery completes
    • 6 hours after delivery completes
    • 12 hours after delivery completes
    • 1 day after delivery completes
    • 2 days after delivery completes
    • 3 days after delivery completes
    • 1 week after delivery completes

(Beta) Send Time Optimization

For each contact, send time optimization automatically schedules deliveries to send at the time of day, and optionally the day of the week, the contact is most likely to open emails from you. You should avoid using send time optimization for time sensitive deliveries where you want control over when the email is sent.

Note - If a contact is new or we don't have sufficient open time data for a contact, the delivery will be made using the time you choose using the Send message now or Send at this time radio buttons.

To use send time optimization:

  1. Choose to send a message.
  2. Click Show Advanced Options.
  3. Choose to send your message now using the Send message now radio button, or at a specific time using the Send at this time radio button. We will use this send time for all new contacts, or contacts that we do not have sufficient open time data for.
  4. Click the Optimize Time of Day checkbox. For each contact, this option will schedule the delivery so that the email arrives in the contact's inbox at the time of day the contact is most likely to open emails from you.
  5. (Optional) Click the Optimize Day of the Week checkbox. For each contact, this option will schedule a delivery to send on the day of the week the contact is most likely to open emails from you. On that day, the email will be sent at the contact's optimal time of day.

(Beta) Enhancements To The Message Approval Feature

If you enable the message approval feature, you can now choose to require messages to be re-approved whenever they are edited. The message approval feature must be enabled in Bronto Labs, and then turned by going to Home->Settings->General.

Show/Hide Transactional Deliveries In Deliveries Tables And Delivery Counts

You can hide transactional deliveries in delivery tables and delivery counts by going to Home->Settings->Personal. Depending on your needs, including transactional deliveries in delivery tables and delivery counts may not be necessary. For example, if you are primarily concerned with marketing messages, excluding transactional deliveries from delivery tables and delivery counts can reduce the amount of unwanted delivery information you have to deal with. This can help to clarify delivery related metric as they pertain to your marketing deliveries only.

Note - Delivery tables include any table in the application that displays deliveries, with the exception of the delivery tables used in delivery groups, and the deliveries table on the Message Overview page. For example, the all deliveries tables (Go to Messages->All Deliveries), and the table on the metrics by delivery table on message reports. Delivery counts include the number that represents the total number of deliveries. For example:

Showing Transactional Deliveries

Hiding Transactional Deliveries

Note - Regardless of whether you show or hide transactional deliveries in delivery tables and delivery counts by default, you will still be able to show/hide transactional deliveries when viewing individual delivery tables. If you show/hide transactional deliveries for an individual table, this change will last until you leave the page, or the page is refreshed. Once you leave the page, or the page is refreshed, the table will revert back to displaying transactional deliveries based on the Show Transactional Deliveries setting set for your account. If you have any questions or comments on any of the features described in this post, please leave them in the comments section below.
