Simply select a criterion under 'Email' in the Segment Builder and then select 'Message' from the second drop-down menu. From here, you can select any of your email messages the same way you would a delivery or delivery group. Just click the 'Add Message' button, choose your message from the list and click the 'Select' button.
Please note that 'Bounced Date' and 'Specific Link Clicks' are not yet supported for message-level segmentation. Stay tuned! So what does this mean? You're no longer limited to a delivery or delivery group when segmenting on email criteria. So, for example, if you want to quickly segment on who's opened or converted from a message (regardless of delivery) you can now do this in seconds.
Keep in mind that, as before, data retention is limited to the standard 90-day period for contact data (who clicked, converted, etc.), unless you’ve purchased more.
NOTE: If you currently have segments with email criteria built around delivery groups containing all deliveries for a specific message, please update them! We strongly recommend updating these in the Segment Builder to point to your desired message instead of the delivery group (where applicable).
This will improve performance when updating your segments dynamically as changes occur with your contacts over time - especially if you have a lot of segments.
